Honoring Pace 1.0

Are we overriding our body’s natural pace in order to meet external conditions or expectations? For example, when we’re having a difficult conversation we may need time to let the energy get assimilated, but may feel the other person’s urgency in wanting to finish the discussion right then and there.

Often when people close to us get triggered they try to cord us as a way to keep us in the same place. Cleansing our space and releasing cords will allow us to honor our pace and theirs. There is nothing wrong with allowing our nervous system to adjust at a pace that feels right for us. Understanding that taking a pause is not about avoiding accountability, but honoring space for our mind and body to process the information.
